A license in the Holy Quran is one of the most important goals that many people wish to achieve after completing the memorization of the Quran and reciting it without errors. The license is what proves that the recitation of the Quran is correct.
Ijaazah:
It is a certificate given to a person who has completed the memorization and recitation of the Quran. This certificate affirms that the holder is a memorizer of the Holy Quran and is given by the reciter (the one who grants the ijaazah) to the reader (the one who receives it).
Sanad:
It is granted to the person most deserving in mastering the memorization of the Holy Quran with proper recitation. This is done through reciting and recalling the Quran without any mistakes, and the sanad certificate is accredited. The sanad is a chain that includes the names of the men from whom the Sheikh has transmitted what he has narrated from his Sheikh, leading back to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
