Teaching the Quran with Tajweed for Adults:
When learning the Quran, you must first learn the rules of Tajweed, which enable you to recite the Quran correctly and properly. Among the most important rules of Tajweed that you should learn are the following:
Rules of Tanween and the Silent Noon:
The rules of Tanween and the Silent Noon include 4 rules as follows:
1. **Izhhar (Clear Pronunciation):**
Izhhar means clear pronunciation, where Tanween and the Silent Noon are pronounced without Ghunnah (nasalization). The rule of Izhhar is obligatory if Tanween or the Silent Noon comes after the letters (Alif, Ha, Kha, Ain, Ghain, and Ha).
2. **Idgham (Assimilation):**
This is the pronunciation of two letters as a single, doubled letter. The Idgham of the Silent Noon or Tanween occurs by merging it with the following letter from the letters of Idgham, making the Idgham letter doubled, and the Tanween or Silent Noon is included in it and is not pronounced clearly.
There are two types of Idgham: Idgham with Ghunnah, which occurs if the letters following the Tanween or Silent Noon are (Ya, Noon, Meem, Waw), and Idgham without Ghunnah if the following letters are (Ra, Lam).
3. **Iqlaab (Conversion):**
This involves changing one letter to another. It occurs if the letter Ba follows the Silent Noon or Tanween, in which case the Tanween or Silent Noon is converted to a light Meem with a Ghunnah of two counts.
4. **Haqiqi Ikhfaa (True Concealment):**
In this case, the Tanween or Silent Noon is pronounced between Izhhar and Idgham without emphasis, and the Ghunnah is for two counts. The Silent Noon and Tanween are concealed if the following letters are (Ta, Tha, Jeem, Dal, Dh, Zay, Seen, Sheen, Sad, Dad, Ta, Dha, Fa, Qaf, Kaf).
Rules of the Silent Meem:
The Silent Meem is the Meem that maintains its silence in both connection and pause, and there are three types of Silent Meem.
